I'm so damn proud of myself. I didn't get lost today. (Although Kaydee and I were very nearly late for English.)
K so first block was Socials. Mr Marfleet is cool. Kaydee, Jill, and Shelby are in my class, along with a bunch of other people who I hate (including Douchener, who I'm just lucky enough to be sitting next to). Then I had Science. AGH I'm sitting with Gabrielle! Yeah so Miss Steunenberg gave us a project already. It's this stupid CSI thing, we have to forensically figure out who stole the Chem 11 test. Yeah, it's retarded. I'm in a group with Gabby, Jamie, David, and Malcolm. Then it was break, and then I had English. Like I said, Kaydee and I were almost late, but we managed to make it a minute or two before the bell. Mr Clarke is cool. So is his room. We got a couple assignments, but I have till Monday to do one, and Wednesday to do the other one. Soooooooo then it was Lunch. The dreaded Vocal Jazz auditions. The only other people auditioning at that moment were Shenaya, Lana, Kendra, and Conroy *shudder*. Seriously, if both me and him make it in, I will DIE.
Anywhoo, after Lunch I had Dance Fitness. It was really fun, but I found out that we DO have to perform. Only once though. And we get to wear one of those funky costumes. I'm so excited. This class is gonna get me in such great shape.
Yeah so that was my fun fun day. Tomorrow we've got an assembly in block D, then I've got Math, Spanish, and Foods. This year is gonna be so awesome.

Well, first official day of high school, and I started it off with a fall. Hypothetically, anyway. Well it wasn't really the start of the day, but it was my first class.
K well I met Kaydee on the corner, so we went to school, found some people, and hung out for a while, then it was time for homeroom. Pretty boring. NOW comes the fall. I had Math Honours first block, so of course, being me, I went up the first stairs that I found, rather than going down the hall, turning the corner, and going up the stairs at the end of THAT hall which led me pretty much right to my Math room. So I was on the other side of the staff room, which you can't go through because it is a room, so I had to go AAAAAAAAAALLLLLLL the way around the second floor until I got to the other side of the staff room. I got to the door of my classroom just as the bell was ringing. Oh well. Mr Hoy didn't seem to mind. So anyway Math was just going over course outline and graphing, got homework but I'm finished it now. Next I had Spanish. SO MUCH FUN! I can feel it already, Spanish is gonna be my favourite class this year (besides Jazz Band). We learned greetings, like adios and hola and buenos dias and buenas noches and hasta manana and mucho gusto and gracias and Como estas and Como te llamas/se llama usted and Me llama _______ and Puerdo ir al bano por favor and Puerdo ir beber el agua por favor and so on. We're in a seating plan so I'm not sitting with anyone I know, but I'm sitting beside this guy named Taylor, he's okay. And I'm sitting at the front so I can actually see the board. Not like in French last year where I was totally blind. Anyway then it was break, and after some struggles and some help, I managed to open my locker (GAH I got a bottom locker). Then I had Foods, which was fun, I'm sitting at a table with Katie, Charlotte (GREEEEEEEEEEEAT), Leann, Sabrina, and Tyler. We just went over the course outline, did a little survey thingy, then we started making title pages (haha grade one much?). Anyway, then it was lunch, me and Bryn and Kaydee and Jere and Katie went to my house and ate waffles. lol. yeah and we tormented the kitties. Then we went back and it was time for Jazz Band. Parsons just talked all class, read the expectations and what not. He also said that our class is far too big, meaning on Tuesday we have to audition to stay in the band. Crappy, non? Yeah. And Nils is our guitarist. Ugh. AND we have frickin Aaron Ross as a drummer. It's a good thing we also have Andrew and Simon, so we actually have some TALENT in the rhythm section. Anyway, then school was over. I'm auditioning for Vocal Jazz tomorrow at lunch. The sign said you don't have to have anything prepared, you just have to show up. So I'm a little less worried.
So tomorrow I have Socials with Marfleet, Science with Steunenberg (apparently not good), English Honours with Clarke, and Dance Fitness with some teacher who's name I can't for the life of me remember. It starts with a "V". Haha know what's funny? Jeremy is in my Dance Fitness class. I can't wait to see it.

OMFG! Holy frickin fuck! Tomorrow is my first day of high school. I'm SO freaked out. Although I'm a little calmer now. Sara found her map of the school and we figured out where all my classes are and the easiest way to get to them.
GAH I have no idea what I'm gonna wear! My link leader called, her name is Natasha, she's like the perkiest person I've ever talked to. Anywhoo she said I should wear something comfortable because we're gonna be running around a lot. So yeah, I'll probably go with jeans. Picking out a shirt is gonna be hell though. Hmm....
So Bryn is gonna be at my house around 8:20 tomorrow morning, then we're gonna meet Kaydee on the corner at 8:30. AHHHHHH if I was saying all this out loud I would be talking SO freakin fast! I don't even know if any of my friends are in my classes. I didn't compare schedules with many people, just Jere, Kaydee, Bryn, Lisa, Shelby, ummmm Kirsten I think...yeah that's it. So I don't have much to go on. However I do know that Mike is in my band, which is a really good thing because it would be awesome to have an alto sax in my band that I know. So that's good. Actually you can strike Kaydee off the list because she had to switch her time table because they put her down for concert band. No guitars in concert band. So yeah, originally she was in my English Honours class, but she's most likely not anymore. She might be in another one of my classes though. She better be in my Band.
Okay. I need to go upstairs and raid my closet for something decent to wear on my FIRST DAY OF FREAKIN HIGH SCHOOL! So good night! |

Whew it's been awhile since my last update. Well not much to tell really. Work has been going good. It's been four months that I've worked at good ol' DQ now. Sadly, I've spent more than half the money I've made in those four months. Altogether I've earned about $1500, and I only have around $750 in the bank. I don't know how I've managed to spent over $800 in four months. I really need to control my shopping urges.
Well. I am officially panicked. I am SO not ready to go back to school. Especially not high school. Going into high school means only three years left of school, then I have to go into the world. I'm not ready for that. I'm too immature to go out into the world. I'm also freaking out about Vocal Jazz, and pissing Sara off while I'm at it. I don't think I'm ready for the auditions. Sara said she'll come with me if I want her to, but I don't know if that will help. I haven't practiced scales at all this summer. She said I'm a better singer than a lot of the people who are already in Vocal Jazz, but somehow I think ability to sing notes is more important than just the ability to sing in general. Gah. I don't even have my binders all set up yet!!!! The only thing I'm really excited about is Spanish. SO psyched about that! Next time I go to Mexico, I'm gonna mingle with the locals. Hell yeah!
Man work this summer has been depressing. Leyna left at the end of July to go to University in Arizona, which was really sad for me even though I just met her at the beginning of May, but she's such a cool person and I'm gonna miss her. Then Julia left on Wednesday to go to University in Alberta. I'm gonna miss her too. I had a whole extra month with her after Leyna left, and I got to know her a lot better. I'm gonna miss her too. We're losing a lot of staff. Kiul moved to Calgary, so we already lost a cook, and I think Brian is leaving to go work at some new restaurant that's opening soon. Brian's a bit of a creeper, but he's really funny. Elisha left too. She got married a couple weeks ago. But on the bright side, Krista has been promoted to Manager, although today was her first day as a Manager and she was like more than two hours late, not a good first impression, plus to top it all off, Cory has strep throat so he couldn't come to work, so Andrew was cooking by himself. Cory can't come to work tomorrow either, which means Navid is cooking alone too.
I CANNOT BELIEVE THERE IS LESS THAN TWO MONTHS LEFT UNTIL SIR MACCA'S CONCERT!!!!!!!!!!!! I honestly don't know how I'm gonna react. I hope I don't faint. Apparently excessive screaming leads to fainting. If that's true, Sara and I are in trouble. That's why girls always fainted at Beatles concerts. They never stopped screaming.
No matter how much I hoped and wished and prayed (well, not prayed), I didn't grow at all this summer. Quite depressing. Although I did go down a couple pant sizes. Very exciting. I guess running and working out all summer really paid off.
EEEEEEEEEH I SEE FLUFFY!!!!!! She's so cute!!!!!
Y'know, I only went to the beach about five times this summer. Not counting the three days in Osoyoos at Rochelle's party. We spent the whole time outside. That was so much fun. We wakeboarded and tubed and swam and shopped and ate and it was such a blast.
Haha you know what's hard to picture? Kaydee in capri pants. I have no idea what made me think of that. But seriously. I can't picture it. I could barely take in what I was seeing when she wore that skirt to school. That was a shock. I almost passed out.
Well I do think it's Oreo time. I really have to start posting more often so my posts don't end up this long.

I have decided I need a female singer to idolize. Kaydee has suggested Stevie Nicks. I agree, but I think Annie Lennox was amazing as well. There's so many women that I could idolize. Hmm. I'm gonna have to think about that.
Went to the mall today with Sara. I bought a pair of jean shorts and two tank tops from Warehouse One, bought Sara two CDs, both The Who. I also bought myself the fourth book in the Georgia Nicholson series and some gold nailpolish. I really love gold. I think people with darker skin look better in gold. Mostly only makeup though. And I finally found my favourite gold lip gloss, I suspect Cherie stole it because I've been looking for it for months, and now suddenly it showed up in the bathroom, and the label was almost totally rubbed off. She stole my tweezers too, but I got those back out of their bathroom. She is really pissing me off. Just about half an hour ago, she got all mad at Dad because he didn't ask her if she was okay after she nicked herself with a knife, and there wasn't even any blood. Seriously, I don't know how much longer I can handle being here. I'm so glad July is almost over.
OMFG I might go see the Backstreet Boys! EEhhhhhhhhhhhh!
Well. I think I'll have a go at beating my high score on Dynomite while listening to the Backstreet Boys.

Yay for naturally curly hair. I feel like I'm actually part of my family now. Of course, my eye colour is still completely different, but I'm halfway there.
FINALLY Sara and I (mostly Sara though) found the two songs that were on a CD that my Dad's friend burned for him a couple years ago. For the longest time we had no idea who the songs were by, but then last week we were in Spareparts in the mall and one of the songs was on the sound system so we asked one of the girls who worked there what CD they were playing, she said it was AFI so we were getting all excited because finally we knew who the songs were by. But then we had to find out what the songs were called. Sara went to a lyrics website and looked through all of their songs and found the songs that matched what we believed the lyrics to be and they were the right songs and now I'm all excited that we finally downloaded the songs. They're really good songs too, Girl's Not Grey and Synthesthesia.
Anywhoo, I wasn't working last night but I went to pick up my check (and got some ice cream while I was there), I made $193. It would've only been about $160-ish but I was working on Canada Day, and we get payed time and a half on Canada Day. Which means we get payed what we usually get (which for me is $6 an hour) plus half of that, which is $3, which adds up to $9 which means I got payed $9 an hour for about six hours, which means I made almost $54 in one night. Sweet. My next check isn't gonna be very much though, I'm only working two shifts. I'm working Saturday at five and then next Sunday at five. Oh well. Rochelle's Osoyoos party is next week, I'm SOOOO freakin excited!!!! Last year we stayed at her place the whole time, but this time we're going into town, we're gonna go mini-golfing and such of the like. Yay.
Okay I am off like a herd of turtles to go play Dynomite for a while. Farewell.

I just realized that I have done absolutely nothing with my friends so
far this summer, and we've been out of school for.......almost two
weeks. Pathetic.
Well I'm working evening shift tomorrow, and day shift on Wednesday.
Then I'm off till the 13th. I better get in some beach time during that
period.
Went shopping today with Sara, Mum and Auntie Ruth. Mum bought me a new
pair of platform-ish flipflops. Then we went over to Second Cup. Sara
and I got blueberry muffins and strawberry kiwi fruizis. SOOOOOOO
freakin good. Then we went to the mall. I bought a new book, fourth in
the Georgia Nicholson series, and Mum bought me Rebel Yell by
Billy Idol (SCORE!). Then we went and got Good For You's, went to the
Superstore where I bought a new bag for work, and the car battery
managed to die. So we had to wait for like half an hour till Mike came
and gave us a boost. Ugh. Not fun in this heat. Yeah so then Mum and I
went and played tennis at the college. It was freaking hot, but we
managed to play for 45 minutes, and we were smart enough to bring water
with us this time. So then Mum, Mike and Auntie Ruth left to go to
Beaver Lake for a couple days, and Sara and I went back to Dad's where
he fed us the nasty leftover homemade pizza we had to suffer through
last night. Fun stuff.
I am LOVING my new pierced ears. I've got four piercings on my right
ear and three on my left. My new piercings have silver ball studs.
Okay well Sara has to go to bed so see ya.

Going shoe shopping for Sara with her and Mum today. I have nothing better to do.
Damn this unpredictable weather! I was planning to go to the beach today. Bah.
Well. I worked a seven hour shift yesterday. 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Not fun. I didn't eat anything from 8:30 in the morning till about 7 at night. I was hungry. Atleast the computers were back up. On Canada Day the computers weren't working, which meant we had to write down all the orders, look up the prices, add up the total, write down whether it was paid in cash or debit, and if there was a food order we had to pick some random number and give that to the customer, then we had to write that number on the order sheet and give the order to the cooks and then yeah it was really frustrating. Oh well, Navid (cook) told me that we get paid extra on Canada Day. I hope we do, that would be awesome.
Anywhoo, I have an urge to dance to Mony Mony right now so......

Kaitlyn is such a cool person. I understand that nobody knows who she is but that's fine. Some lady at work today said that she looks like Britney Spears. Hah.
WOw I am tired. My legs are like throbbing. Yeh I need to buy thinner black pants for work. Not only are these ones thick, the waist is really high. So yeah tomorrow I go shopping. ANd hopefully get my ears pierced.
